KingsIsle Entertainment launched a brand new world today for Wizard101®, where players explore the icy lands of Polaris and clash against the corruption caused by the villainous Rasputin.

“Polaris is a thrilling and chilling new world where players explore new lands full of powerful enemies like Rasputin and laugh at humorous events like the ballet of Bearishnikov,” said Josef Hall, vice president and creative director at KingsIsle Entertainment. “I don’t want to spoil too much, but our wizards experience a once-in-a-lifetime advancement at the Ravenwood School of Magical Arts with this expansion as well. We can’t wait for you to experience it yourself!”

Wizard101 players will be able to increase their level to 110, learn new shadow-enhanced spells at level 108 like Raging Bull and Rusalka’s Wrath and uncover epic gear and weaponry along with the jewels to make them even more powerful.

In addition to benefits for high level players, there are updates happening for all levels of players. “All players can now participate in new Fishing tournaments and reel in a special ‘Catch of the Day’ fish that will sell for a lot of gold.” said Hall. “There are a few other quality of life changes like new Second Chance Chests and an item card deactivation feature, which will make life a bit more magical for everyone. Wizard101 just keeps getting better with time!”
